Hiram's New Exhibit Displays Nature's Beauty

The James H. Barrow Field Station has always been a reflection of nature's beauty. A new art exhibit on display. "Reflections," now showcases that beauty through art.

"Reflections" is on display through Jan. 30, 2014 in the main Field Station building.  It includes a series of acrylic paintings, photography, a sculpture and collage, all representing nature at the Field Station.

Matt Sorrick, director of the Center for Science Education and co-director of Northwoods Field Station, coordinated the exhibit, which consists of artwork submitted by alumni and community members. He said he hopes to include student work in future exhibits and possibly extend the works on display to other ways of expression, like creative writing.
