OCTOBER 1-30: Celebrate National Arts & Humanities Month by attending free events at the Riffe Gallery and Ohio Statehouse, sponsored by the OAC and Capitol Square Review & Advisory Board. 

OCTOBER 11: From noon to 1 p.m., join notable Ohio poets and a Poetry Out Loud champion in the Riffe Gallery for a Celebration of Poetry.  This free event is open to the public as part of Arts & Humanities Month.

OCTOBER 12: Nominations for the 2013 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio are due. To submit a nomination, click here.

OCTOBER 14:  Last day to see Outside in Ohio: A Century of Unexpected Genius at the Riffe Gallery. Admission is free. Visit www.riffegallery.org for more information.

OCTOBER 19: Support letters are due for the 2013 Governor’s Awards for the Arts in Ohio. For more information on how to submit a support letter, click here.

OCTOBER 22 – 24: The 25th Ohio Arts Presenters Network Annual Showcase Conference will be held at the Clark State Performing Arts Center, the Hollenbeck Bayley Creative Arts & Conference Center and the Springfield Courtyard by Marriott.

OCTOBER 24: Join Leslie Adams, portrait artist and painter, for an art tour highlighting her pieces at the Ohio Statehouse from noon to 1 p.m.  This free event is open to the public as part of Arts & Humanities Month.

OCTOBER 25: From noon to 1 p.m., continue the celebration of Arts & Humanities Month with a dance performance by Inlet Dance Theatre of Cleveland.

OCTOBER 30 – NOVEMBER 13: On Ensemble performs in various Ohio communities as part of the OAC’s IMPACT Tour.

Art Trumps Cancer

 It started with an idea which lead to an idea then spawned another idea. The result, create an experience for Pelotonia riders to literally wipe out cancer as they passed through Granville on their way to Gambier during this summer's event.

Wednesday, October 3 Columbus City School teachers from Project ASPIRE's Innovative Curriculum Design Team visit GSVA for a creative experience.

Friday, October 5 The GSVA Club for teens 3:30-5:30pm
